The Quilt for a Cure Applique and Pieced Quilt Pattern by BJ Designs and Patterns features the pink Breast Cancer symbol. Make one of these quilts and give it to your local hospital. The room that does the mammogram screening at my hospital has a donated quilt signed by each women who has survived breast cancer due to early detection or regular screening. It was moving.
This quilt is assembled using traditional piecing and fusible applique.
The pattern is designed with fusible applique, so I recommend that you use an Applique Pressing Sheet.
The pattern designed by Barbara J. Jones contains instructions and full sized llama applique layout guide. This pattern is fat quarter friendly, and is great for teaching classes. Get more women involved and educated about breast cancer while teaching a class.
Skill Level: intermediate quilters
Finished Quilt Size is 25" x 40" for this pattern.
