This Climbing Jacobs Ladder Pieced and Applique Quilt Pattern by QP Designs (Quilters Paradise) was designed by Colette Belt. The quilt features a tulip floral applique on a well known traditional pieced quilt pattern. The pattern is designed for a rotary cutter and strip piecing. It contains full sized flower and vine applique, cutting and piecing instructions.

Jacobs Ladder Quilt Block History
The pattern is a 9-patch block of half-square triangles and squares. A very old quilt block pattern dating to before the Revolutionary War. Many quilt block patterns are referred to by different names, and Jacobs Ladder has several for different color variations or geographical locations.

From 12 Light Fabrics -
From each fabric cut 2 strips 2 1/2" x width of fabric.
Cut these strips in half at the fold.
You should have 48 strips 2 1/2" x 21".
