Beading needles are longer than standard sewing needles, so you can string multiple seed beads and other beads. Beading needles do not bulge around the eye, as other needles do, making it easier to fit one through the holes in your beads. The downside to the long length combined with slenderness is that these needles are easy to bend and break. Be prepared and have several on hand. Be gentle when using, hold the thread near the needle eye when pulling through your piece.

Use size 15 beading needles with beading thread size AA, and with 15° seed beads or small antique seed beads. This size is recommended for all off loom bead weaving stitches and loom work. This size will work well if you are using a stitch that requires more than two passes of thread through the same bead, such as right angle weave or spiral rope.
